Hi. I'm a FANDOM user which means I have joined a wiki.
(that is the worst introduction I could've made. great)
Banarama (in the Clash Royale Slack team) told me to apply for staff here, so I'll heed him/her (no "it" cause a banana is genderless, right?). If you're Banarama reading this, well, um. Just go ahead and read my resume, whoever you are (I'm betting it's Patrik.)
Previous Experiences
Hey, isn't a resume supposed to list the applicant's previous experiences?
- Clash Royale Wiki: >5k edits
- Any other wiki <100 edits
So as you can see, I am very inexperienced on FANDOM, having joined the website less than a year ago in November 2017. I have no experience on Wikipedia either, which is a big con.
Pros
- Knows the very basics of coding and wikitext (no java tho)
- Can be very active if I'm not so busy everyday with other stuff
- Can spot vandalism
- Friendly and doesn't hesitate to help (except if someone asks me how to code)
- Has decent grammar
- If I want to, I can make a mass edit (with small fixes)
- Can help in projects
That's basically it for the pros. That's why I applied for Intern. My list of cons is double the length of my list of pros. I want whoever reading this to choose what's best for me. I really can't say if I'm going to be good at Sentinel or Moderator, and Internship will probably help me figure myself out.
Cons
- Completely dead in chat.
- Rarely uses Discord
- Doesn't know how to block people
- Sometimes (that's quite an understatement) is inactive.
- Doesn't go on Forums.
- Not really that experienced (500 edits isn't a lot)
- Doesn't go on Discussions
- Can not code JS
- Can not code advanced CSS
- Doesn't know a lot of people here.
- Is moving pages the same as renaming them?
- I suck at the game
- Has low self-esteem (it shows but it'll get better. well i hope)
- Discontinues random projects (just look at my conceptions)
- If I was staff I'd definitely have the "On Hiatus" tag often because of my random spans of inactivity.
- How do you check Whatlinkshere?
- Most importantly, how do you git gud?
Wow, that's alot of cons. Internship can fix the coding, blocking, and moving pages problems but the inactivity part is all on me. I'll try to be more active as soon as possible.
For now, that's my resume. If I get rejected, ok. If I get accepted and get a staff position right away (although the probability of that is close to 0%), ok. If I get accepted as Intern, ok.
