The Gatling Gun is a Tier 3 tank in the Retrograde gamemode in Arras.io. It upgrades from the Machine Gun and Sniper at Level 30 and further upgrades to the Sprayer, Accurator, and Half'n Half. The upgrade key for this tank is J.
Design[]
The Gatling Gun features a circular tank body as a base and a long, trapezium-shaped Cannon mounted at the front, with the same length as the Sniper's cannon.
Technical[]
Upon upgrading to the Gatling Gun, the FoV and Bullet Speed will increase to that of the Sniper's, while RoF (Rate of Fire) will decrease.
Strategy[]
- Strong Against: Tanks with low FoV, low penetration tanks, nearby tanks, slow tanks.
- Weak Against: Tanks with a high bullet speed, other Tanks with FoV, Drone classes.
As the Gatling Gun[]
- Use the high FoV and bullet speed as your advantage to taking out most tanks.
- Most nearby tanks don't stand much of a chance against this tank. Same goes with the slow tanks.
Against the Gatling Gun[]
- Some tanks with high bullet speed and FoV, like tanks from the Sniper branch are able to encounter it in long range, especially things like the Streamliner.
- Any Tank should be careful when fighting the Gatling Gun, for its firepower can be significant and deadly, even in long range.
- If careful, the Drones could easily take out this tank, especially with a surprise attack.
Trivia[]
- This tank was previously accessible in the early Mockup builds of Arras.io, before later being removed.
- In said early Mockup builds, it only upgraded from the Machine Gun, and did not upgrade to the Half 'n Half.
