The Icon for the Mobile App.

The Diep.io Mobile app is a version of Diep.io for mobile devices, available for both Apple and Android mobile devices via the App Store & Google Play Store respectively.

Game Modes[]

Homescreen M

The main screen for Diep.io Mobile.

Gameplay[]

Rather than point and click (and WASD or arrow key controls), the controls consist of 2 joysticks, one on the left side of the screen, and one on the right, alongside various function buttons at the top-left of the screen. This makes classes like Necromancer very difficult to play because they rely heavily on the Drones to shield them from incoming fire. The only way to accomplish something of this sort is by spinning yourself around to decelerate the Drones. You can easily see how much more complicated simple controls can be like this.

Experience Gain / Upgrades Sidebar[]

Although the player may feel like it gives the player more experience in mobile than in PC, there’s no difference in the rate that you gain experience. For instance, 50 points in mobile will put you just below a level 5 tank; the same as the web version.

The only time the player can see the upgrades in mobile is when you have Skill Points to spend. In the browser version, scrolling into the bottom left makes the player view upgrades that the player has made, but this is not available in Mobile Diep.io.

Game User Interface Navigation[]

Player Button - A button at the left corner of the screen next to the minimap that shows the player count of the current server. By tapping on it, the game will show you a list of players that are currently playing in the server.

Minimap - This is different for every game mode, although the maps in the Mobile version are the same as the PC version. A minimap is located at the bottom-right of the screen. The player's location will appear as a black isosceles triangle, with the sharp point facing in the same direction the player is facing.

Scoreboard - In the top right corner of the screen, there is a function that hides or shows the leaders (leading team for Tag Mode). It shows the top 10 players in the current server. In modes like Tag and Mothership, it will instead show the player count on each team (Tag) or the health value of the Mothership (Mothership). Domination is the only mode where the Scoreboard is not available.

Leader Arrow - The leader arrow points to where the top player is. When the player sees the leader, the arrow will disappear. A leader's arrow is not displayed if the player is the leader.

Experience Bar - The experience bar displays the player's tank’s level along with how close you are to leveling up. Upgrades are available when the player's Level is up. In FFA/Maze/TDM/Sandbox, a score bar is placed just on top of the experience bar, showing the player's current score.

Achievement - Tapping on the right side of the screen at the main screen of the game will bring up the achievements. It is the same with the PC version, though you cannot scroll through it. Tapping away will make it disappear.

What the player sees. The upgrades just above the score bar aren’t accessible for you to look at whenever you wish, so predict your builds wisely!

Trivia[]

  • The current mobile version is a port to the web (PC) version.
    • As a result, nearly every update of the web version will also be applied to the mobile version.
    • Despite this, mobile users have their own servers that are separate from the web version.
  • Unlike the web version, there's no control for Auto Fire, Auto Spin and stat queue.
  • There is no "Copy party link" button at the top-right of the screen. The Console is also inaccessible.
  • Using the Shoot joystick on drone tanks will always send the drones to the furthest point of the player's FoV (unless repel mode or "2" is enabled).
  • Unlike the Legacy version, when the player upgrades to Smasher, the Shoot joystick won't disappear.
