As with all things, there is purpose. Every form of art has reason, even if the reason is to have no reason. As I sit here, editing together images for fun, one things dawns on me. As a musician, I've made multitudes of absurd sounds with my equipment. I haven't tried making anything too absurd in terms of Diep art as of yet.

The A.L.A.P.[2], also cutely referred to as the Borzoi, is one of the Tier 5 upgrade options from Ranger. It features the most impractical Cannon that exists. Ever. Nothing else beats it. Try to make a cannon longer than this. I dare you. You can't do it. The A.L.A.P. may further upgrade into E.L.T.P.[1]. This tank was made by Toriellabella.
Design[]
The A.L.A.P. features a circular body as a base. Mounted on the front side is a singular trapezoid base that has an end width that's the same as Tank's width; This base is completely identical to Ranger's base. Mounted under this trapezoidal base is a really big gun. How big? We'll get to that in the next section.

Technical[]
So. There's not that much to explain. I mean, I could go over the basics. You use the WASD keys to move. You use the mouse to aim and the left mouse button to shoot. Shoot bullets out of a Cannon you literally cannot see the end of. Yeah, despite the fact the icon might display it as being a bit short, it's not. It's long. Like, really long. In fact, it's easier to describe what lengths it isn't.
The journey to find out how long this thing's gun is[]
- It's definitely longer than Ranger's cannon. Let's get that out of the way. Clearly the icon box is longer. In fact, the exact length is 180% of the tank's body in the icon.
- The "long" image in the navbox isn't as long as it can be. It's longer than that. The length of this one is about 2000% of the tank's body.
- I would say it's Infinity long, but let's put that into perspective. We can't have that in this game. That would break the rendering engine.
- When the information from the server is sent over to the client, these numbers are utilized to draw things to the screen. The smallest possible maximum for a canvas size is on Google Chrome, with dimensions of 16,384 by 16,384[3]. So the longest possible length would be 16,384%? No.
- As it turns out, this not only doesn't take Field of Vision into account, which can resize the canvas, it also doesn't truly take into consideration that the rectangle that draws the barrel can extend past the canvas due to that being how canvases work.
- This means that the total length of this barrel is bound by programming.
- The server is written in C and the client is written in web assembly.
- The maximum number in the C programming language actually depends on numeric type, which you can read more about here. The largest possible number is 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 in the ULLONG_MAX number set.
- The maximum number in web assembly is... Well, I'm not sure. I'm not a wasm person. But I would assume that these numbers can communicate with each other.
- So the longest possible length of this barrel would... NOT be a percentage of the body, since the maximum possible number is that 18 quintillion number I spat out earlier. So the longest this barrel could possibly be is 18 around 18 quintillion. I guess. Don't bother researching other possible answers; Didn't I do it for you?
The sad part is that this tank isn't practical whatsoever, since bullets spawn in the center of the gun. which would be out of bounds regardless. You're essentially a poor person's "Ball".
Strategy[]
- Strong Against: 4th dimensional DMT beings that exist ouside of the map, possibly even Arena Closers if they spawned at the right time and happened to also have finite HP
- Weak Against: Literally everything else
As The A.L.A.P[]
- You're long. That's it. You exist purely to test the physical limits on how long a tank could possibly be. Just upgrade into it one and that's it, really. That's truly all you need to know.
Against The A.L.A.P[]
- It's slow. It can't shoot. Since it was preparing for Ranger it likely doesn't have any ram stats. It's going to die in like 5 seconds unless it stays inside of its base and camps like that bottle of general tso sauce in my fridge that I couldn't find for dinner.
