The Brutalizer is a Tier 4 tank conceptualized by Onett4smash and contributed to by Raspbelle as part of the Defend the Center game mode. It upgrades from the Destroyer and Wrangler at level 45.
Design[]
The Brutalizer has a Grappling Gun on its front and a wide, short Cannon at the back, similar to the Destroyer's cannon but shorter.
Technical[]
The Brutalizer fires extremely strong and slow bullets that, uniquely, have a very short lifetime, hardly escaping melee range. It can still be used for very strong recoil. The Brutalizer has a very slow base speed.
The Brutalizer's grappling hook is extremely strong, able to nearly immobilize most enemies and having a long time of 10 seconds before automatic retraction. This gives the Brutalizer ample time to reach them and fire upon them. Any enemy hit by the Brutalizer's bullet will be damaged heavily and pushed away, being detached from the grappling hook.
Firing the cannon uses the left mouse button while firing and retracting the grappling gun uses the right mouse button.
Strategy[]
- The Brutalizer has the highest bullet damage in the game, though it needs to get within melee range to use it to its best ability.
- The main strategy is to grapple onto an enemy, then approach them with recoil, before hitting them with the bullet.
- The Brutalizer is poor against hordes of weak enemies. Often, ramming is a better strategy than trying to hit them with bullets.
- It can also use its grappling hook to kill weak enemies directly.
- The Brutalizer, similar to the Annihilator, can be used with a ramming build, with the bonus of having a grappling hook.
