The Cryo-Tower is a Fanon Boss intended for Woomy, The Cryo-Tower uses the special Chill Effect as its main form of attack across all of its variants, the Cryo-Tower comes with a total of 3 Variants so far, the Super Cooler, the Glacier and the Hoarfrost. Each variant uses a different weapon but with the same ability.

Design[]

The similarity across all Cryo-Tower variants is that they all use the same Center Body, the main Cryo-Tower design is a gray heptagon for the base, with a cyan blue colored heptagon stacked on top of it with another gray heptagon placed on top of the cyan heptagon and finally another cyan heptagon placed on the center base. The only difference between each Cryo-Tower is the change of weapons and turrets, with the Super Cooler using Frost Trappers and a double buffed Frost Arsenal-like weapon, the Glacier using buffed Sleet-like cannons with a Flank Sleet Turret and the Hoarfrost using elongated Chiller barrels with a Twin Chiller Turret on the very center.

Technical[]

The Cryo-Tower is an uncommon boss with a total of 3 variants, each using the Chiller effect, which slows down the affected target for a few seconds, the boss itself is generally sluggish in movement speed and acts like a mini-base, the boss itself is sort of like a glass cannon, once its defenses are out-gunned or breached it can be quite easy to destroy the Cryo-Tower with enough fire power. Certain variants of the Cryo-Tower have increased power and buffs in their Chill Effect, the most notable variant that does this is the Hoarfrost variant which fires extremely potent and deadly chill ammunition at tanks, if an enemy gets hit, they will get extremely slowed and take extra damage if they get attacked, this lasts until the Hoarfrost Chill effect ends.

The Glacier Variant swaps a majority of its chill power for damage, its weapons won't freeze for long but will do big damage, especially the special sleet barrels equipped on the boss variant, the Flank Sleet Turret will not directly face a target but will automatically rotate with auto fire. The Super Cooler will use traps that will freeze any targets that get hit for a while and can do decent damage, the Super Cooler's special trapper turret will fire traps with turrets that also apply the chill effect on their ammunition, making the boss the equivalent to a freeze fortress. The max amount of these freeze traps that can be spawned at a time is 7.

Lore/Information[]

Cryo-Towers were decently sized constructions built by the Heptagons/Septagon Nests as cooling mechanisms and also to serve as defense models that utilize the Chilling Effect. Cryo-Towers were created with 3 different models and are currently in use.

Strategy[]

When fighting the Cryo-Tower, the difficulty of the fight might depend on the type of variant you fight, certain tips and strategies are more recommended for a certain Cryo-Tower compared to another.

Super Cooler: When fighting the Super-Cooler, it is best to fight as a team with other players to penetrate its defenses, it's best to destroy any of the special pillboxes fired from the center turret, as they can prove a problem and have auto turrets on them, however the reload of spawning these special traps has a somewhat long cooldown, which is why it is recommended to destroy them before they prove a threat in an attempt to destroy the Cryo-Tower. After majority or all traps have been destroyed, work on attacking and piercing through the Cryo-Tower's defenses, the fight will most likely end quickly after you get through, as the Cryo-Towers on their own will most likely get shredded should they be left defenseless. Once the defenses are down, attack the center core or destroy any chiller pillboxes and the fight will end quickly.

Glacier: It is possible to solo this boss, however you need to dodge the Glacier's greatly buffed Sleet Barrels at all costs or else you might get swept up quick and killed, try to get in between each barrel to deal damage to the Glacier, however you need to watch out for the Flank-Sleet Turret or you might get chilled for a few seconds and ultimately killed by the first layer's barrels. Thankfully the special Sleet Barrels have long cooldowns, giving you time to escape if you nearly get caught by the first layer's barrels. Once this is done and possibly repeated a few times, you can begin to destroy the Glacier, this can be sped up with teammates but it is possible to solo the boss on your own. The special Sleet-Guns act similarly to Elite Destroyer Devastator Guns.

Hoarfrost: The Hoarfrost is also possible to solo, however it utilizes a total of 7 dangerous chiller guns that are capable of dealing fatal freeze damage to anyone who are hit by the ammunition, once a player is hit they will be severely freezed and will take extra damage from any damage sources, this is why it is important to avoid getting hit by these guns, unlike the Glacier Strategy, the Hoarfrost has a decently powerful Twin Chiller Turret on its center, however this can be out-gunned by a tank with high dps and reload, however you can still get in between the turrets similarly to the Glacier Strat, it is just more difficult, however once you get past it should be possible to melt the Hoarfrost, this can also sped up with teammates, it's just more difficult to solo compared to the Glacier Variant.
