The Deployer is a Tier 4 tank conceptualized by Onett4smash and contributed to by Raspbelle as part of the Defend the Center game mode, though this may also fit well into other game modes such as 2 Teams. It upgrades from the Overseer and Trapper at level 45.

Design[]

The Deployer's Spawner is made of three segments, with the last one being a wide trapezoid like the Mega Trapper's. The drones it spawns take the appearance of traps, being three-pointed stars, indistinguishable from traps from other tanks from the Trapper branch.

Technical[]

The Deployer spawns drones that start off disabled, being immobile like normal traps. However, as soon as they take damage, they activate and start homing in to the source of the damage. They are slower than most other drone types, but have health comparable to traps, still serving as walls more than offense. Bullet Speed determines both how far the drones travel when they are initially fired as well as their movement speed when active. The Deployer itself has a slower reload than the regular Trapper.

Strategy[]

  • The Deployer can be played like most other Trapper-branch tanks, defending an area by spawning traps. If enemies try to infiltrate, they will be forced back by the drones.
    • Be wary that faster tanks like Boosters can intentionally trigger the traps, then outrun them to infiltrate.
  • The Deployer can be played more actively in team fights by providing offense instead of just defense.
  • The Deployer can take space easily with its drones, pushing enemies back and taking more ground.
  • As the drones look no different from normal traps, they can catch enemies off-guard. They can even be placed in more haphazard areas to ambush enemies who do not suspect anything.
  • Teammates can follow your drones and use them as cover from fire much more effectively than with other Overseer-branch tanks' drones.
