The Duplex is a Tier 3 Tank that has two smaller Rammer planets, and they have independent AI and cannot be controlled. It branches from Rammer at Level 30, and can upgrade to Duperiority, Quadplex, XPlex, Armorplex, Autoplex, Fragplex and Kilonova at Level 45. Inspired by the Thrasher class from the The Extended Tale of Diep.
Design[]
The Duplex has the usual Rammer shell that auto-spins, and cannot be affected. It has an extra lavender circle on top of it, and has two mini-Rammers orbiting it. These are destroyable.
Technical[]
Asides from the usual Rammer stats of 10 instead of 9 upgrade points, with 6 usual options only, the Duplex's Mini-Rammers, called Planets, are powerful. Each Planets's damage is equal to a Pounder bullet, and they are destroyable. When not attacking anything, the planets will orbit the main Duplex rammer at 1 revolution per 5 seconds. When attacking something, the Duplex's planets will orbit the enemy for 3 seconds, until they try to attack the enemy. The planets attack at a pattern, one at a time. When pressing right-click, the planets will charge straight at a enemy. The planets are destroyable, and when destroyed, disappears entirely, leaving an lavender aura on it's place. It orbits the main body. The planets has half the health of the Duplex's main body. The planets respawn after 15 seconds of been destroyed.
Strategy[]
- Strong Against:Slow tanks, Drone classes if used correctly, low RoF tanks, Spread spammer tanks.
- Weak Against:High RoF tanks, fast tanks, Destroyer-classes, Concentrated fire classes.
As the Duplex[]
- Now with the two planets, the Duplex can farm Polygons much more easily. Be careful when engaging spammer tanks though, your planets don't have much health at all.
- Keep an eye on the maximum health and body damage. It is highly recommended to upgrade those stats, since they are both essential for taking out Polygons and defeating enemy tanks.
- Drone classes are much easier to deal with. They will not only have to fight you, but your planets as well. You are likely to kill the enemy when they were surrounded by your planets.
- Split classes are easier to kill. You now have 2 extra planets that orbit them. and ramming them. Be careful if they use Myriasplit or Folari though, as their bullets can destroy both of your planets.
- And when upgrading to Autoplex, you must save some points to upgrading bullets.
Against the Duplex[]
- If you're a Drone-class, run from the Duplex ASAP. It's planets can deal serious damage to you and the main body might finish you off.
- Use a tank with high reload and/or close-range damage, such as the the Machine Gun and/or the Twin branched tanks. The Split branch also works, but be careful of it's planets.
- If you're a Destroyer class, you can one-hit the planets, so you can easily counter the Duplex by simply attacking their planets first, then to them.
- Use a fast tank to run away from this tank, such as the Tri-Angle.
Upgrades[]
- Duperiority:It now has a Smasher shell, and it's planets are upgraded to Smashers.
- Quadplex: Rightful to it's name. It has 2 stacked lavender circles, and has 4 planets.
- XPlex:Mauls it's enemies with Mega-Rammer planets. The planets are now as big as the main body, and the main body's 4 spike shell is bigger.
- Autoplex:The lavender circle now has a lavender auto-turret. The planets also has an auto-turret.
- Armorplex: The shell now looks similar to the Armorrammer's. Planets now has the same shell as the tank.
- Fragplex:The shell now looks similar to the Fragrammer's. Planets now has the same shell as the tank. The planets frags 8 Gunner bullets when they die only if they die.
- Kilonova:Inspired by the Oxyrex.io Kilonova. It only has one planet, but the lavender circle is now blue, and it can explode into 10 bouncy, fast bullets. They don't do damage, but greatly deflects any bullets out of your way.
