The Elite Bulwark is the Hard-Mode version of the Elite Trap Guard. It is superior to it's non-Hard-Mode variant in every way. Now having all of it's turrets changed to Twin, having 6 more weapon trappers, and the Tri-Trap Guard turret is upgraded. It's bullet part upgraded to Triple Twin, and trap part upgraded to Tri-Mech, it ensures both absolute bullet hell for the tanks - and a formidable shield for itself and it's allies. It, like the other Hard-Mode Elite Crashers, can spawn in all modes, but it appears most commonly in Hard-Mode Siege.
Design[]
The Elite Bulwark is a more powerful version of the Elite Trap Guard, so it's design had similar to it's inferior variant. It has 3 Twin auto-turrets on each side, one in the center and two on the edges of the boss. Between them are 2 Trap Launchers on each sides, adding up to a total of 6 Trap Launchers. On top of the boss, on the edges of it has another three Twin turrets, adding up to a grand total of 12 Twin auto-turrets. The top Twin turrets are gray/grey instead of Elite Crasher pink, and has a unique Smasher-shell layer on top of it. In the center of the boss has a unique turret. The Tri-Trap Guard turret has a unique design. It looks like a combination between a Triple Twin and a Tri-Trapper, except that the Tri-Trapper part shoots auto-traps instead of regular ones.
Technical[]
The Elite Bulwark, like other Hard-Mode Elite Crashers, can spawn anywhere, but only in Siege and Hard-mode Siege where they get common. The chance of it or any other Hard-Modes to spawn in non-Siege modes are a 1/300 chance. In Siege, the chance is increased to a 1/100, meaning you can see these at times. In Hard-mode Siege however, they get more than 3x more common, with a 1/30 chance to spawn. Hard-Mode Elites in general are slow, had the same health as the others (or 2x tankier than Elite Crashers), meaning they're are tanks which goes to support on the back. When undamaged for 5 seconds, they regenerate fast. They auto-spins like any regular Elite Crashers. They also gives off a lot of score, nearly a million score, compared to an Elite Crasher's pathetic 47k score, helping really well in score, if you're a score-junkie. But you will have to fight really hard, since the Elite Bulwark, like all other Hard-mode Elites, are really powerful, having the same power as a Terrestrial. It's 12 Twin auto-cannons, each bullets dealing medium damage, but since each shoots fast, it stacks quickly. Not only that, the penetration of the bullets are strong, and the bullets are fast, enough to penetrate two Machine Gunners fighting it. Since the side Twins had a 180 degree angle of vision and the top ones up to 270 degrees, that makes up to 6-8 Twin turrets been able to aim at you at once. The Regular traps are superior to Elite Trap Guard's traps. It has better penetration, better damage, enough to defend from many enemies at once. However, they have a shorter lifespan to compensate for reloading 2 times faster. The center turret's bullets are stronger than the 12 small turret's bullets. It's bullets are 1.5x faster, and 4x the power, penetration and same reload. Since it always auto-spins counter-clockwise, it covers it's surrounding area. The Auto-Traps has the same power as the bottom traps, but it has an addition of an auto-cannon. It's bullets might deal a pestering damage, but it's fast, and the auto-traps has a high FoV, as a result they becomes extra support for the boss itself and other bosses.
Strategy[]
The Elite Bulwark is a formidable boss, like any other Hard-Mode Bosses, It's weapons can take care of any tank with ease. If it's in FFA or any other Non-Siege modes, you must avoid it if you don't have any teammates. It can kill you before you deal any damage in. Instead, grab 4-5 players, fighting the Elite Bulwark. Two of them must be Constructors to block most of the Elite Bulwark's Twin turrets. Not all bullets can be soaked with them, but enough to defend. Next, get an Annihilator to clear out all of the it's traps. Since they significantly stop your teammates dealing damage. and destroy any auto-traps that it shoots, since they will be fatal later on. Finally, you and the rest of your teammates all must use spammer tanks to deal damage directly to the Elite Bulwark. You must slowly advance, nullifying anything that the Elite Bulwark can do to attack you, then kill it. If it's in Siege, you must destroy it firstly, since it's a big threat to the Sanctuaries. If there are bosses defending it, and Mendists healing it, you must kill any bosses that defends both it and the Mendists. Then kill the Mendists, as they will pose a big threat to your team - and heal any damage that the Elite Bulwark takes. Finally, kill the Elite Bulwark. If in Hard-mode Siege, well... they're one of the main threats of that gamemode, and as a result you needed to have a lot of teammates in order to deal with them.
