The Flankle Shot is one of the Tier 3 upgrade options from Flank Guard and one of the Tier 4 upgrade options from Triple Shot. Yes, this tank is dual tier. This tank may further upgrade into Octo Tank, but only if you upgrade from Flank Guard. This tank features six (6) barrels that all shoot in unison.

Design[]

Flankle Shot features a circular body. Mounted on the front are three guns that are all the same size as Tank's cannon that are all separated by 60 degrees. Mounted on the back are three shorter guns, which are the same size as Flank Guard's back guns. It's essentially a "Hexa Tank" with shortened back cannons.

From Triple Shot[]

Three Flank Guard cannons are added to the back, and the angle between the front cannons are increased to 60 degree.

From Flank Guard[]

The design is copied onto itself, each copy being separated by 60 degrees.

Technical[]

Flankle Shot is a simple tank. It's like a double sided Triple Shot. Every barrel fires at the same time. Each individual barrel is slightly stronger, so that it's on par with Octo Tank. Reload is increased so that it creates a similar bullet cloud to Octo Tank as well. Despite Flank Guard having no recoil, the three back cannons feature little to no reload. This is so that the recoil bonus of Triple Shot can carry over, albeit a bit nerfed!

Interestingly, this tank exists in two tiers:

  • When you upgrade from Flank Guard, it's at level 30. At level 45, you may further upgrade into Octo Tank.
  • When you upgrade from Triple Shot, it's at level 45. At level 60, there are no upgrades.
  • If there were further upgrades, they would all be available at level 60.

Strategy[]

  • Strong Against: Multiple enemies, slow tanks, Overseer branch
  • Weak Against: Assassin branch, Destroyer branch, fast ramming tanks

As Flankle Shot[]

  • When facing off against multiple enemies, keep in mind that your shots aren't as dense as Octo Tank's field. However, you do have more damage. You don't have to upgrade your damage as much, but keep your bullet penetration up so that your bullets can live longer! Do this so that your bullets can slide past other bullets and kill tanks easier. This also helps with drone tanks, allowing you to shred through them and kill them with ease!
  • You are adept at dealing with tanks that can turn invisible. If you fire and rotate frequently, your dense bullet cloud will be able to uncloak invisibility tanks easily!
  • Be on the lookout for slow tanks! You can easily approach them if you upgrade your movement speed. Be sure to spin a bit so the enemy can get trapped between your bullets.
  • If you are facing against a fast tank, such as a Smasher branch tank or a Tri-Angle branch tank, be sure to use your front three cannons as recoil so you can move away faster!

Against Flankle Shot[]

  • If you choose to be a Destroyer tank, such as Rocketeer or Steamroller, your dense bullet will be able to rip through Flankle Shot's dense bullet cloud!
  • If you are a Smasher class, the high damage of Flankle Shot's bullets might be scary to deal with! But, there is a clear weakness! Due to the shortness of the back barrels, they don't go as far. You can utilize this to weave through their bullets easier to kill the enemy Flankle Shot!
  • If you are a fast tank, such as Booster, be sure that your strafing skills are high! The enemy Flankle Shot will likely be recoiling away so that they don't hurt you. Due to this, gaps in the bullet cloud will form, and it will allow a straight shot to the center of the tank, allowing you to kill it with ease!
  • If you are a tank with high penetration and high field of vision, such as Ranger or Seeker, be sure to aim between the gaps! In team modes, it'll be easier to shoot at it if the enemy Flankle Shot is recoiling away from a tank. Be sure to have good aim, so that one or two shots can kill the enemy with ease!
