The Flare is a Tier 3 tank, having an extra 2 outer cannons, flared on the outside and stronger than the inner side cannons. It branches from Split, and it will upgrade to Penta Shot, Spreadshot, Horizon, Zenith, Flared Hybrid, Doubleflare and Arachflare. The 2 outer side barrels fire at once, and the 2 smallest inner side barrels fire seperately.

Design[]

The Flare's design is simillar to Split's, except that it now has 2 outer side cannons. These cannons are bigger than the inner side cannons, but smaller than the center Basic barrel.

Technical[]

The Flare now has a wide attack area, due to it's 2 outer barrels. The Flare's new barrels has 75% the power of the center barrel, is slower, and penetration is slightly higher. Aside from that, the Flare has the same stats as the Split. It is inferior to it's T4 variants, so don't keep Flare when you got to upgrade to Tier 4's.

Strategy[]

  • Strengths:Low-DPS tanks, Cruiser, Rammers.
  • Weaknesses:Concentrated fire classes.

As the Flare[]

  • Flare is even better for farming polygons, simple because you have 2 extra powerful barrels. Your damage combined is greater than Triple Shot, but your cannons are too far spreaded out.
  • Your barrels are flared around you, so use it as a weaker Spreadshot.
  • Rammers almost cannot ram you, but you have to beware.
  • Beware of Destroyer-branch, as they might suddenly assault and kill you.

Against the Flare[]

  • Since the Flare's barrels are too seperated from each other to fight you at long-range, stay out of any of it's side barrels and attack it.
  • You can use highly-concentrated fire classes to kill it quickly.
  • Ramming the Flare is much much harder to do, since it's barrels can damage you, and when combined, can kill you quite quick. You must take suprise to kill the Flare.
  • Destroyer-branch will have a harder time to kill a Flare than a Split. It's outer barrels still deals serious damage and the Flare might take advantage of it's small recoil to run from you while attacking you at the same time.

Upgrades[]

  • Penta Shot:Empowers the 4 side barrels to be as powerful as the center barrel, and focuses the outer side barrels to touch the inner ones.
  • Spreadshot:The outer side barrels are removed, and in place of it are barrel arrays of 8 barrels, 4 for each side, making up to 11 barrels.
  • Horizon:Empowers the outer side barrels, and adds 4 more Gunner barrels, 2 on each side. However the outer side barrels are spreaded to 180 degrees now.
  • Zenith:Now has a Machine Gun barrel in the center, and the outer side barrels are more focused.
  • Flared Hybrid (Removed):Adds an extra drone spawner on the back of it.
  • Double Flare:Adds extra Flare barrels on the back of the tank, making 10 barrels.
  • Arachflare:Adds 4 Gunner barrels on the back of it.
  • Flared Bees: Adds an extra bee spawner on the back, as well as cosmetic spikes.

Trivia[]

  • Flare is named after a solar flare event, which is when the Sun sends out cosmic winds, damaging our electicity.
  • It is also named after a Mindustry unit of the same name. The two T4 upgrades, Horizon and Zenith, are named after them too.
