The Grappler is a Tier 2 tank conceptualized by Onett4smash and Raspbelle as part of the Defend the Center game mode. It upgrades from the Tank at level 15 and upgrades to the Swinger, Cruiser, Dragger, Wrangler and Zipliner at level 30.
Design[]
The Grappler has a trapezoidal Grappling Gun on its front. The grappling hook is a small pentagon, fired from the Grappling Gun.
Technical[]
The Grappler can fire a grappling hook and attach to enemies. Hitting an enemy with the hook deals minor damage and slows them down. Left clicking will retract the grappling hook and let go of the enemy, while right clicking will drag the enemy towards the Grappler. While grappling an enemy, the Grappler cannot move. The enemy will automatically free itself after a few seconds. The Bullet Penetration stat is also replaced with the Grapple Time stat. The grappling gun provides very little recoil.
Strategy[]
- The Grappler can be played in many ways; standard, support or rammer.
- The Grappler, with enough damage upgrades, can use its grappling hook offensively and damage enemies with it.
- The Grappler can drag weaker or slower enemies towards teammates or traps to defeat them.
- The Grappler can also drag enemies towards itself to ram into them.
