The Guignol is a Hard-Mode boss. It is a very powerful cyclone boss, with up to 24 guns, 8 small, 8 medium, and 8 large, on it's medium 2x2 squares. It also has big 4x4 squares that has up to four Focus turrets on top of it, it's ensuring absolute devestation to it's enemies, and bullet protection for the bosses. It is known to have it's own minions, known as Siege Squares. It's one of the Hard-Mode bosses to be exclusive to Siege - and Hard-Mode Siege. In regular Siege, they appear at later waves (30+) and they have a limit of 3 in regular Siege. In Hard-Mode Siege, they appear as early as wave 10, and there's a max of 8 Guignols for each wave.Despite that, it also spawns in All non-Siege gamemodes.

Design[]

This boss has a rather complicated design. First off is it's base. On the furthest sides of the boss are four large 4x4 squares, with a smaller square layer on top of it. On top of the square layer is a Focus turret for each square, making up to 4 Focus turrets. In the corner of the boss, besides the large 4x4 squares are medium 2x2 squares. They have the same square layer on top of them, but rather than having an auto-turret on top, on the sides that don't touch the large 4x4 squares, are an array of 6 cannons for each medium squares, making up to 24 different cannons. The 8 large cannons are besides the 4x4 squares. The medium cannons are closer to the edge, and overwritten by the larger cannons, and the smallest cannons are on the furthest edge of the boss. In the center of it has 4 small 1x1 squares. The Guignol does not have a middle square or details, but it can spawn things in it.

Technical[]

The Guignol, like any other Hard-Mode Bosses, are extremely powerful. It always auto-spins counter-clockwise fast, like the Elite Spinner, however it's bullet spam surpasses it. It's healthpool is massive, and has a great damage resistance, can be used as a meatshield for other bosses to get behind. It also rewards the killer with a lot of score, 800k score when killed alone, helping really well in gaining millions. It's also very rare in regular modes, 1/300 chance of spawning every 30 minutes. However it's speed is slow, as a result it can't tank for it's allies, unless it's on the very front, and it has very slow regeneration. In return, it has very powerful bullet spam. The Focus turrets is really powerful. Each deals more damage than the tank variant. It also has fast bullets that surpasses the speed of Assassin's bullets, and it's penetration for each turret is enough to outpenetrate a Machine Gunner. However only 2-3 turrets can focus at targets at a time, as the Focus turrets's angle of aiming is only 270 degrees. The 24 guns are very dangerous. It can create bullet storms enough to kill a tank, or even a group of tanks quickly. The large guns fire the slowest, but still has the firerate of a Machine Gun. It's bullets are also both powerful and fast, in fact, fastest out of the many guns. The 8 medium guns have slightly slower bullets, and less power than the big ones, but it has faster firerate, about 1.5x faster. The small guns fires the fastest, as fast as a Nailgun, and it had bullets as strong as Gunner's. The Guignol can also spawn special sentries called the Siege Squares. Despite called "siege", these sentries are not Siege-exclusive, and can spawn in other modes, but will need a Guignol to spawn. It can spawn up to 8 of these strong minions.

Lore/Infomation[]

When the war between the Polygons and the Tanks escalated, the introduction of tanks such as Machine Gunner and Penta Shot has made the front a hellish area for the Polygons. When they were slaughtered, without giving a fight to the Tanks, they were desperate to hold the frontlines as much as possible. But the tanks were too powerful for them, even bosses like the Nesters and Elite Crasher don't stand much of a chance at all. Thus, an unknown engineer, alongside his seniors, created the Guignol as a measure to push out the Tanks, using spam, to fight spam. It worked perfectly. When the first Guignol prototype was released and deployed to the battlefield, the Tanks were overwhelmed by pure force and can't do their raid anymore. In fact, 9/10 tanks that were in this raid were all killed by the prototype. The creator of it was happy of the results. He went on to create more of them, to push back the Tanks from the Pentagon Nest. To this day, it was still used, but the Guignol took a lot of resources to make, and the tanks are slowly making an counter to it.

Strategy[]

  • Strong Against:All tanks solo, Slow/Unaware tanks, Small groups of tanks.
  • Weak Against:Large groups of tanks

Against a Guignol[]

  • Do NOT try to solo this boss alone. You will die before you even scratch it at all.
  • If not in Siege, you must amass 5-6 tanks to fight the Guignol, and half of them must all use Annihilators or Constructors to block the bullet spam of it. Have a Factory to charge all of it's minions to attack the Guignol, damaging it. The Factory will take a long time to do that however, so it must block all of the Guignol's bullets and destroy any Siege Squares that can attack from the flanks, since they can foil your team's plan completely. After that, use a spammer tank to kill it. But it won't die easily, and you will take a long time to kill it.
  • If in Siege,Priotize them. They are a big threat later on, as their bullet spam covers entire areas (also lags), and it's even worse when it had other Guignols or Mendists as support. As the Mendist can heal the Guignol while another one can create nigh-impenetrable bullet storms. You must kill them first, but it it's protected, kill any bosses that protect the boss or making killing the Guignol harder. After that, just kill it. Be careful of the Siege Squares still.
  • If in Hard-Mode Siege, there's not much you can do, other than killing it with numbers.
