The Incendiary is a Tier 2 tank conceptualized by Onett4smash and contributed to by Raspbelle as part of the Defend the Center game mode. It upgrades from the Tank at level 15, upgrades to the Heater, Marksman and Poisoner at level 30 and upgrades to the Campfire and Radiator at level 45.
Design[]
A Fire Bullet.
The Incendiary has a Fire Cannon in place of the regular Cannon, which has two segments, one of which is orange. The bullets that are fired are flaming and are also tinted orange. Burning enemies will also be tinted orange.
Technical[]
The Incendiary fires flaming bullets that deal less damage on hit than the regular Tank, but inflict burn, which deal damage over time. Flaming bullets also do not penetrate enemies or their bullets; instead, the Bullet Penetration stat is replaced by Burn Stack, which determines the amount of burn that can stack on the same enemy at once. One stack of burn is afflicted per bullet hit, with a maximum of 7 (10 past level 45) stacks of burn with maximum Burn Stack. Stacking burn increases its damage and duration. The Damage stat also increases burn damage in addition to normal bullet damage. The first stack of burn is stronger than the others.
Although the Incendiary is unable to detect cloaked enemies, some other classes that inflict burn can, which allows them to set cloaked enemies on fire, revealing them for everyone until the burn wears off.
Strategy[]
- As the Incendiary, you are more effective against tankier enemies, as it allows you to stack lots of burn on them and have its effects run for longer.
- Once you finish stacking the maximum burn on an enemy, you can move on to a different target. Do remember to return if the enemy is still alive and the burn runs out.
- Against groups of weak enemies, you can ignite each of them for burn individually, assuming only one shot is enough to kill them after the burn runs its course.
