The Molotov is a Tier 4 tank that upgrades from the Minelayer at level 45. It cannot upgrade further. Created by Fall Out Wave.

Appearance

The Molotov looks like a Minelayer with a square body. Its ammunition, the Flame Mine has a small barrel sticking out of it.

Attack methods

Flame Mines launched by the Molotov behave similarly to bullets of the Napalm; when triggered, the barrel on them starts emitting flames, then explodes into a large "fire area" similar to that of the Napalm. To make up for this, the base explosion's damage is decreased. However, what separates this from the Gas Bomb is that upon death, the Molotov will also explode into flames, doing further damage.

Stats

When compared to the Minelayer:

  • Mine Lifespan is decreased to 17.5 seconds.
  • Bullet Damage is decreased.
  • Movement Speed is increased.

Strategies

As

This tank can be considered a combination of the Napalm and the Gas Bomb. While the damage is lower than that of the Gas Bomb, it lacks the Fume Mine's 3 second delay before exploding, thus lowering the chance of enemies escaping. Alternatively you could run a ramming build with the Molotov, as even if you die ramming you could still do some damage with the resulting flames.

Against

Again, the Molotov shares weaknesses with the Minelayer so snipe away! Bullet spammers however must beware as the fire on death can do some serious damage.

Trivia

  • Its body design is based off a liquor bottle.
