The Precision Sniper is a Tier 4 tank that upgrades from the Hunter and the Assassin in the Extended Tale of Diep. Idea by Diepmon.
Design[]
The Precision Sniper has a circle body with a large and flat trapezoidal base, on which is mounted a barrel, whose width is slightly less than that of the Predator's second stacked barrel. Inside is another stacked barrel, whose width is also slightly less than that of the Predator's smallest barrel. On the base, there is a red double trapezoid shape, which is a laser scope. To the sides of the main barrel setup, there are two Auto Turrets. Each has a gray crosshair symbol on the circle base, and they both have red trapezoidal bases, on which they have a stacked Hunter setup with scaled-down barrels.
In the Tale of Diep, it instead has a scaled down version of the main barrel setup on one hand, nothing on the body and other hand, and two Scope Drones, triangle drones with the crosshair symbol on them and red trapezoidal bases on their barrels, both with laser scopes.
Technical[]

The Precision Sniper's ToD design, with laser guides. Here, a Precision Sniper is battling a Protector, with all three laser guides aimed and ready to fire at its target.
The Precision Sniper, upgrading from both the Hunter and the Assassin, is very good at doing what it does: sniping. It has the FOV of the Assassin, FOV 3 (the Hunter has FOV 2.5, Sniper and Smasher FOV 2, and Ranger FOV 4.) While it does fire six bullets with devastating accuracy, the damage of all bullets have been reduced by 40%. Auto Turret bullets do 40% less damage, and the small Auto Turret bullets are 50% weaker than the large ones. The small bullets originating from the smaller barrel on the main setup are 45% weaker than the main bullet. Reload is reduced to 33% of that of a normal Tank's (Sniper has 66% reload, Assassin, Ranger, Hunter, Predator, and Stalker 50%, and Destroyer branch tanks about 12.5%-15%.)
While the bullets' combined damage are greater than a Predator's, the reload is lower, so damage-wise it is balanced. Penetration stays the same, but Bullet Speed is slightly faster if upgrading from Hunter to match the Assassin's bullet speed. Bullet accuracy is drastically increased, to within 2.5 degrees of error. As if that weren't enough, the presence of a cursor crosshair, laser guides, and Auto Turrets that always follow the mouse make it almost impossible to miss a stationary target.
The cursor has a crosshair, which is toggleable on and off with the "H" key. It looks exactly like the symbol on the Precision Sniper's Auto Turrets. The Auto Turrets, for that matter, always point to where the cursor is and never fire at things on their own, even if Auto Fire is off.
The laser guides are present on all three barrels. For simplicity, the main barrel's guide is "A", and the side guides are "B" and "C" on the left and right of the tank respectively. The laser guides have different modes which can be cycled through with the "G" key, and can have either a dotted or solid style, which is swapped between with "T". The guide modes are as follows:
- Mode 1: None (default)
- Mode 2: A only
- Mode 3: B and C only
- Mode 4: A, B, and C
It should be noted that when using any mode other than Mode 1, the player moves 30% slower. The guides are colored to the player's team or affiliation, usually blue if in The Realm. An exception to this is if they have been converted by a Prophet, in which case they will be medium-dark gray instead.
Strategy[]
Strong Against: Slow tanks, Destroyer branch tanks, tanks with low bullet penetration, tanks lacking adequate defense, other Sniper-type tanks
Weak Against: High ROF or DPS tanks, drone-utilizing tanks, other Sniper-type tanks, rammers, fast tanks (especially those in the expansive Lancer branch), tanks that have high health or defense
As the Precision Sniper[]
- The Precision Sniper is frighteningly accurate against stationary or slow-moving targets. Against fast-moving targets, not so much. As such, against such targets, the player should attempt to shoot ahead of the direction in which the target is moving, but doing so is easier said than done against unpredictable targets, such as other players.

Trivia[]
- A well-thought out tank conception on my part, if I do say so myself.
