The Shadow-Mancer is a generally rare boss with a very powerful arsenal, it has the special ability to Corrupt tanks that it kills and turn them into its puppets, this makes it a very dangerous enemy for players to fight, especially solo.

Design[]

The Base of the Shadow-Mancer features a Dark Purple Hexagon with a total of 9 Triplet Barrels with 3 of them being featured on 3/6 of the Shadow-Mancer's sides. The Shadow-Mancer also has 3 wide trapezoids also known as Drone Spawners taking the other 3 sides of the boss. There is also a Hexagonal Turret on the very center of the boss with a Shortened Destroyer-Like Barrel with an extra dark-purple prop to signal that it as a special effect.

Technical[]

The Triplet Cannons on the Shadow-Mancer are very powerful in terms of DPS and Damage giving the Boss an edge against Solo Bullet Spammers, however with enough firepower of at least 2-3 Tanks, you can get past the Bullet Shield created by the Boss.

The Drone Spawners of the Boss can spawn Large, Powerful Hexagon Drones capable of soaking up damage, there can only be 4 of these Drones at once, but they can prove a nuisance should they be able to get in the way of tanks, the drones are generally slowish but can deal decent damage and have lots of health, the drones are also given health bars. These drones will generally respawn very slowly though.

Darkness/Shadow Turret[]

The Shadow-Mancer has a large hexagon turret on its center with powerful destroyer-like stats, the turret has long reload and delay in-between shots making it possible to dodge, however should anyone fail to move out the way, they will take big damage and be given the Darkness Effect, it acts in a while similarly to the Acid Effect, but is more dangerous and capable of killing tanks. This will prove to be fatal in multiple ways in the Shadow/Corrupted Tanks section.

"Shadow/Corrupted" Tanks[]

Any Tanks that have a death caused by the Shadow-Mancer either directly or in-directly will be forced to relinquish control and be turned into a corrupted AI/Bot, also known as a "Corrupted Tank", corrupted tanks will share the same coloring as the Shadow-Mancer and also be on team, this mechanic acts similarly to the Graveyard Gamemode. Tanks that are "Corrupted" by the Shadow-Mancer will be given buffed stats of their current build, making them even more dangerous to fight. Any previous build of the tank such as a Booster with a Ram Build will retain their Ram Build but be given even more buffs to their now corrupted tank.

A Max of only 5 to 6 Corrupted Tanks can exist at a time, any opposing Tanks that die while the Shadow-Mancer already has reached the max amount of Corrupted Tanks will die like a regular tank would, however if a Corrupted Tank dies then the Shadow-Mancer will be able to capture another one. More powerful Tanks such as the Dominator, Mothership or other enemy Bosses will be considered too powerful for the Shadow-Mancer to corrupt and will either just become neutral in the Dominators case of just die.

Corrupted Tanks do have somewhat smart AI as they will stay around the Shadow-Mancer and move in closer to defend it from threats should it be at Low HP. Unlike the Shadow-Mancer itself, Corrupted Tanks will be unable to corrupt other tanks, as they are just mere puppets.

Strategy[]

Fighting the Boss while Solo is generally not considered a good idea, as you will either be swarmed by existing Corrupted Tanks and Drones or shot down by the Shadow-Mancer itself. It is recommended to fight the Boss in teams to reduce the risk of being turned into yet another puppeted victim of the Shadow-Mancer. Try to use surrounding obstacles as defense against the Shadow-Mancer or a Trapper Branch to create a safe wall to protect from the Boss's onslaught.

Take down any Shadow Tanks that you find nearby, they can become a massive pain and even prove fatal should they be left to attack Players and allies supporting you in battle. They could also become a massive pain if they are left alive when the Shadow-Mancer is low on HP, as they become more aggressive in their movements and defensive. This is why it is heavily recommended to shoot any leftover Shadow-Tanks at the beginning of the battle.

Defend any Allies that are low on HP and have a high chance of being killed off or transformed into another corrupted enemy by the Shadow-Mancer, if they are killed and turned into another Shadow Tank, they could ruin the plan if they were important in destroying the Shadow-Mancer previously.

Another option is to use brute force with a big team of teammates, this could effectively take down the boss and has a low chance of failing unless their is another supporting boss or enemy nearby.
