The Swarmpidae is a Tier 4 Tank that has 2 Bee spawners on it's back, thus creating more bees. It also has cosmetic spikes, in addition to the main Split cannons. It branches from Stinger, and might not upgrade anymore.

Design[]

The Swarmpidae's design has the same Split cannons as it's previous upgrade, except that it now has 2 Bee spawners on it's back, and they are more spreaded out to the back sides. The tank also gains an extra 2 spikes. They are still for decoration.

Technical[]

The Swarmpidae has Stinger's attacks, except that it now had another extra swarmer spawner. They spawn more bees than usually, and they have the same power as Beekeeper's bees. They last longer, but shoots bees at a slower rate. The 2 spikes on it's outer sides don't do anything, they're there for decoration, as usual.

Strategy[]

  • Strong Against:Individual tanks in combat, Rammers, Glass-cannon tanks, unaware tanks, Tri-Angle branch, Destroyer branch.
  • Weak Against:Concentrated tanks, High RoF tanks, Sniper-class, Spawner-class.

As the Swarmpidae[]

  • Since the Swarmpidae's bees are uncontrollable, and attack with their own AI, it is preferable to fight lone enemy tanks or Bosses, or on areas without too many Polygons, as having too many attackable entities may cause the drones to attack others instead of the intended target.
  • The Swarmpidae can fulfill the role of a battle-hardened tank, since it's bees swarm the enemies relentlessly, and your Split cannons can help in creating pressure against enemies. Having teammates is even better, as you can attack on many directions against an enemy team, while the main team attacks at front
  • As such, the player should rely more on the Swarmpidae's main cannon for offense, while the drones will serve as support damage or repellant against unwanted intruders.
  • If you are fighting Tri-Angle branch, be wary of what builds they're using. If they use rammer build, you must be fast, to dodge them, and kill them. You must also spend a few of your points onto health to survive a ram from them. If they uses bullet build, their health will normally be frail, so you must destroy all of their bullets, and try to kill them as fast as possible. Don't worry about chasing them, as the back bee spawners can support for chasing and attacking them.
  • If you're fighting Overlords or any other Overseer-class branches, you must be careful at all times, since they can use their fast and damaging drones to surprise you. You must be tanky, to tank the remaining drones if you haven't destroyed all of them. When the Drone branch is charging it's drones (for Overlords they don't need to wait for long), you must assault them as fast as you can. You must use your weapons well to fight them, but be careful too.
  • If you're fighting Underseer-branch, you must destroy all of their sunchips as fast as you can. They are dangerous in large amounts, and can kill you quickly. If they used the Claw technique, try to advance to them and then attack them as soon as possible. A sunchipless Underseer branch is a dead Underseer, so you can mostly see a fully charged one ready for combat.
  • Cruiser-branch are very easy to deal with. Mostly, you have bees that are as strong as their swarm drones. Your Split cannon should block most of their attacks, and kill them.

Against the Swarmpidae[]

  • You must use powerful spread-spammers, like Penta Shot, to both nullify the Swarmpidae's bullets, and destroy all of their bees. You can use your speed to get closer to the Swarmpidae and kill it directly, but be wary as if you charged fast at them, the Swarmpidae can attack with it's many bees and Split bullets. Concentrated-fire spammers like Triplet also works, as your bullets can easily outpenetrate the Swarmpidae's, and the bullet's range is far.
  • If you're a rammer, killing the Swarmpidae is hard, due to it's bees homing onto you, and the moderately powerful Split cannons that can seriously damage you. Thankfully, the Split's cannons are too seperated to attack you, so you can slowly get close to it.
  • You can also use Sniper-classes to outrange the Swarmpidae, rendering it no way to attack you from far away. If you're a Auto-Assassin, Streamliner or Predator, you can even outgun the Swarmpidae, rendering it helpless against you. If the Swarmpidae has teammates, you can snipe the teammates first, then attach the Swarmpidae when it least expected it.
  • If you're a Factory, your minions are considerable very strong. Your 6 minions combined can severely outgun the Swarmpidae, You can press right-click to attack like a wave, preventing Swarmpidae's bullets from penetrating you, then point your mouse at it. It will die very quickly.

Trivia[]

  • The Swarmpidae placed 3rd place, with 2 votes, so it will be added thirdly.
