The Tugboat is a Tier 4 tank conceptualized by Onett4smash and contributed to by Raspbelle as part of the Defend the Center game mode. It upgrades from the Tri-Angle and Cruiser at level 45.
Design[]
The Tugboat can be pictured as a Tri-Angle with an Auto Turret attached to the front instead of a Cannon and a Grappling Gun attached to the back.
Technical[]
The Tugboat gains extra recoil compared to the Tri-Angle, though its bullets are not any different. The grappling gun fires a different grappling hook to that of the Cruiser's; the Tugboat can drag teammates along with it instead of the reverse with the Cruiser, unless the teammate is faster. The Tugboat can also drag enemies to a lesser degree.
Firing the back cannons uses the left mouse button while firing and retracting the grappling gun uses the right mouse button.
The Tugboat can detect cloaked enemies.
Strategy[]
- As the Tugboat, you are primarily a support tank, helping to give slower teammates a speed boost to get to places faster. Interacting directly with enemies is often unnecessary.
- Attaching to a faster class like the Booster will cause you to match their speed.
- You can drag enemies into your teammates or into traps to help kill them, though there are better classes for this job. Larger enemies and stun resistant enemies will not be dragged as easily, either.
