The Twirler is a Tier 3 upgrade, that has it's own unique mechanic. Instead of having sine-wave bullets, it shoots bullets that twirls in circles, until it finally reaches it's starting point, thus despawning. It branches from Desmos, and will upgrade to Hypertwirler, Helixal, Fragment, Load and Snaker.
Design[]
It's design looks like Desmos, but has an extra barrel like a Hunter. The side spikes still exist.
Technical[]
The Twirler's bullet moves in a different way now. Instead of moving in a sine wave like Desmos, the bullets move in a circle formation. When the bullets are shot, they will rotate slowly, and eventually come back to the player. If the player moves their mouse still, the circle will be complete. If they move their mouse, the circle will be incomplete. The circle expands when the player moves their mouse further and further, but the circle gets more incomplete and wider the further the mouse is. If the player's mouse was really close, the bullets could rotate multiple times, causing deadly sigils. When pressing right-click, they twirl counter-clockwise. Other than that, the Twirler has small changes to it's FoV, has slightly stronger bullets.
Strategy[]
- Strong Against:Low health tanks, concentrated tanks (if glass, sometimes), anyone unaware of the bullet's orbit, weak tier 2 tanks, Destroyer-classes.
- Weak Against:High health tanks, almost all tier 4 tanks, Sniper-class, spread spam tanks (like the Penta Shot), Director-classes.
As the Twirler[]
- Your bullets rotate in an arc, with your mouse in the middle of it. It's bullet is also strong, so you must make your bullets unpredictable by pressing right click at times and use your mouse.
- Destroyers have a hard time approaching you, if your skilled, because your bullets orbit at random angles and random rotation.
- You can make a small shield on the front for defense, as the bullets if your mouse is very close to the barrel twirls a few times before despawn.
- Glass-cannons have almost no chance to kill you. unless they're a Penta Shot. Their fragile health will highly likely be wiped by the powerful bullets of the Twirler.
- You must be careful of Rammer, as their high health can tank several of your bullets before dying, and their speed outmatches you.
Against the Twirler[]
- Don't have too little health. The Twirler's bullets are powerful, and can kill you in a few hits.
- You can use spread spamming tanks like the Penta Shot to clear out the bullets.
- You must try to predict the angle and speed of the Twirler bullets, as one of them could hit you before you knew it.
- Sniper-classes also works. They can stay out of the Twirler's maximum range, while attacking it simutaniously. Your bullets are normally high-damaging, and they are also fast. Kill the Twirler while it can't defend against you.
- You can also use Rammer-classes to kill the Twirler. You are tanky, and can take several hits of the Twirler.
Upgrades[]
- Hypertwirler: Forms an 2-layered circle. The lifespan of your bullets has been increased. Gains an extra golden barrel.
- Helixal:Helix but has the same twirling bullets as the Twirler. The cosmetic inwards drone spawner and the 2 barrels gain an extra detail.
- Fragment: It can't twirl it's bullets anymore, but it has the same mechanic as an Undertow. It shoots a slow, powerful bullet that is fired at a slow pace. However, the bullet has 4 smaller bullets orbiting it, intercepting up to 2 enemy Basic bullets each, before been destroyed. The large bullet itself has a special ability of turning a smaller enemy bullet (up to Gunner-tier) to an ally bullet, then the allied bullet orbits the large bullet. The Fragment has the same extra larger cannon as the Twirler.
- Load:Repeater, but the bullets twirl. The fragmented bullets can also twirl in random directions and random distances. It has the same larger barrel detail.
- Sysrotate:The traps now rebound in sine waves and in a 105 degree angle, in addition to normal reboundance.
- Snaker: Silo, but it's snakes twirl, but in a Spike's shell-like formation. It has the same extra detail as the Twirler.
Trivia[]
- This class was inspired from ArrasBeam's Twirler concept. I just made the fanon page here.
