Note: This is my Fanon page, some notes I would like to announce are

a. Do not edit without permission. That's final.

b. Considering this is a Fanon page, VAGNUARD can not be found ingame. Just thought I'd say that :v

VAGNUARD is a Fanon Vanguard Ultima Superboss intended for Diep Z.

Design[]

VAGNUARD[]

VAGNUARD himself appears to be a normal Vanguard: he's a light-blue arrowhead with a two Auto Turrets on his sides and one auto turret on top. He has a trap launcher in the rear. He also will turn invisible inside his mech if staying still for some time.

The Mech[]

The mech is insanely advanced. It has a bar in the back designed to be the base in which connects the mech. There are two modified bars with circles on their ends connected to the bar that seem to be holding VAGNUARD inside the mech. In the back of the bar, two squares hold a cyan-to-white gradient rectangle, intended to be the mech's core. Two circles with rectangles angling to the center of the core are connected to small grey rectangles which connect the core to the body.

As for the arms, there are multiple segments:

The base segment looks like a rectangle. Underneath it, it has a circle "joint" connecting it to the main bar. On top of the arm's base, multiple rectangles and trapezoids along with a single oval amalgamate together to form a depiction of a rocket launcher.

There are two secondary "action segments," each of which look like gray Rangers. The first action segment is below the rocket launcher, the second action segment, however, is on top of the first action segment. They are called action segments due to being used only for moving and action on the mech.

The last segment of the arm is actually four fused segments. The fused segment is just an action segment. The second one is a rectangle that fires unique ion beams. Note that the ion cannon and third action segment are forged together, so they both aim in the same place. The last two segments are circles with angled irregular polygons, each designed and places to look like claws. These claws can actually rotate on the ion cannon to make a opening or closing appearance.

Technical[]

VAGNUARD is rather slow, but he's still quite fast, being able to catch a Landmine with max movement speed. His arms completely deflect all enemy entities, not only blocking Traps, Drones, and all projectile types, but he can also knock away Tanks, be them bot or player. (Luckily, this doesn't do damage) His claws can open or close, but unlike the rest of his arm, VAGNUARD's claws don't deflect enemies, but rather retract them towards his hand. He has ion lasers with decent reload and rapid-fire missiles he can launch in clusters of 4 or 1, depending on a randomizer. VAGNUARD's top auto turret will always remain normal, but his side turrets' behavior will vary depending on their status. If inside the arms, they will only rotate with the arms so that it doesn't look weird. However, VAGNUARD can take his turrets out of the mech arms (causing the mech arms to flail wildly, this time damaging enemies who are hit) and use his side turrets normally to attack enemies. He can then retract his arms and bring them back into control. His Trapper turret also behaves normally. Uniquely, VAGNUARD can only be damaged when hit in the core or if VAGNUARD himself is hit.

Countering[]

As said above, VAGNUARD can be damaged if you hit his actual Vanguard self or if you attack the core. It's recommended that if you need to fight VAGNUARD, aim for the core. While hitting VAGNUARD himself deals more damage to him that striking his core, it's much harder to actually hit the Vanguard, as VAGNUARD can simply use his indestructible mech arms to defend his body- and majority of the time, he will prioritize defending his body via his mech. His core, however, can only be defended if VAGNUARD is flailing his arms, however unlike his ability to defend his body, this is done by a randomizer, allowing players to have time to get a "hit-streak" on VAGNUARD's core. However, while VAGNUARD flails his arms, quickly, without hesitation, take the opportunity and hit VAGNAURD. Also avoid his traps and bullets while fighting him!

Trivia[]

  • VAGNUARD's name and existence came to be entirely because of a common spelling typo of "Vanguard" his creator used to make.
  • While the boss's name is "VAGNUARD," the image file is named "VAGNAURD."
    • This, as a matter of fact, is a misspelling of a former misspelling. Irony.
  • VAGNUARD is the first boss made by his creator to have a mech.
    • Smogdrid has been described as a mech as well, however he is not, and merely just a giant Vanguard in heavily robotic armor, thus making VAGNUARD the first.
  • VAGNUARD has a beta walk animation.
  • While not doing it ingame, VAGNUARD as a matter of fact can Naruto Run.
  • V.A.G.N.U.A.R.D. also stands for Vanguard Attack Grappling Unit Area Raider.
    • This is the meaning of VAGNUARD's Mech Name.
      • Yes, VAGNUARD's Mech is Called "V.A.G.N.U.A.R.D."
        • VAGNUARD himself is sometimes called V.A.G.N.U.A.R.D. due to rarely leaving his mech, almost as if he is one with the mech.
  • VAGNUARD is not a normal Vanguard without his mech, highly glitching, dashing, and other strange behavior.
    • The mech is designed to stable him and give him some extra strength.
