A modified Defender with a center Dominator cannon, it might just go to show the power of the already insurmountable enemy.
It is the third Mechagon boss that Dr. Lacus has created. It was based around the idea of having a boss that can protect itself with the use of a certain tank's unique technology - the Protector's shield. With this middle cannon, it not only launches a holographic protector shield, but it can also launch heavy bullets.
The Defender Prime takes on the appearance of a normal Defender, but it has thin gray armor on all sides. The three auto cannons are spread out closer to the edges to fit in the middle Protector Projector cannon. Has metal lines and plating on it like the War Machine. The three trap launchers has metallic plating on them.
Defender Prime has 16,500 HP. It will periodically phase into Armored during battle. It has additional 10% resistance to enemy ammunition due to having armor around its sides. It regenerates 5 HP per second, and if left unharmed after 2 minutes it will increase its regeneration by 200%.
It moves slightly faster than the Defender. Defender Prime will deal 35 HP of body damage per hit. Upon destruction it will reward 100,000 EXP to the tank who deals the final blow.
Defender Prime's trapper launchers are essentially an upgraded form of the original. Three of them are placed evenly on the three sides. The fire traps every 1.2 seconds, each trap has a lifespan of 20 seconds.
The stats of the traps are 40% higher than the ones from the original Defender.
Protector Projector Cannon
The Protector Projector Cannon slowly rotates, taking about ten seconds to do a full rotation. Whatever direction the Projector Cannon is facing, about eight tiles away from the body, a holographic shield like those created by a Protector will be projected. The shield takes the form of a light blue line arced at a 60 degree angle. This rotates around the Defender Prime, in match with the direction of the Protector Projector Cannon.
The shield reflects all bullets shot at it, which can even deal damage to the original player who shot it, as the bullet will become red. Every time the shield is hit, it will flash red once. If the shield sustains 500 damage, it will flash and disable for about eight seconds before flickering back. The Protector Projector Cannon will still rotate even if the shield is disabled. The shield can be disabled any number of times, but will always return.
