The Mage is a Tier 2 class upgrading from the Basic Tank at Level 15 in The Tale of Diep, and can upgrade further into the Acolyte, Witch Doctor, and Chain Mage. Created by Zathsu.

Design

The Mage looks like a circle tank, however it has two circles for barrels on its sides. The barrels do not actually fire. Bullets are formed above the tank, and are hurled forward. Bullets are orange with a red/blue aura depending on team color (or if its yours or an enemy's in FFA).

Technical

  • Has a moderately low rate of fire.
  • Mages shoot 'Fireballs', which explode upon contact with Polygons or enemy tanks.
    • By explosion, I mean 'an entire area is dealt the damage', not 'a ring of bullets is fired outward'. You can see tiles in the background. Explosion size is 3x3 tiles.
  • Bullets are slightly smaller than the tank, and are formed above them. Bullets sit above the tank for half a second before firing, to give the impression of 'charging the shot over its head, and lobbing it forward'. This is also why it has a moderately slow rate of fire. For the effect.
