Tale of Diep (ToD) is no longer under active development as a derivative of and remains here as an archive, though spin-offs such as The Extended Tale of Diep remain active. The Arena is an area within The Tale of Diep, a fan conception expansion to the game created by Zathsu. The Arena is defined as the place where all game modes affected by Arena Score take place. In-universe, Arena is the first city conquered by the Tank Empire, having taken the city from The Veil at the end of The Panzer Era. Here, a stadium has been set-up where tanks can compete and fight against once another in the spirit of the blood sport, for fame and fortune, yet most importantly, Arena Points.


The Arena is less a game mode than it is an in-universe location of which other game modes occur in. The Arena itself is a corporate body run by tanks where competitors can enter and battle to the death in various games (the game modes) in competition for fans, favor, fame, and fortune.

Game Modes that fall under 'The Arena' umbrella can all be accessed from the Arena on the Realm Map, followed by being selected from the Arena Gamemode selection screen. All game modes in The Arena are affected by Arena Score, in that by doing certain things within them, players can rise through the arena ranks, becoming more feared, winning more prizes, and getting an associated rank symbol next to their name in Arena Gamemodes, and on their profile.

Royale Gladiators, the enemy type that usually spawn in Gladiator Ladder, can spawn throughout Arena Gamemodes very rarely. They will act exactly like their counterparts in Gladiator Ladder, but with stat changes according to their assigned Arena Rank, which is selected randomly at spawn. Ranks can be found on the Arena Score page, and spawned Royale Gladiators cannot be True Champion rank. Since a Royale Gladiator's stats are effected by its rank, these are listed below:

  • Contender: -10% Health, -10% Damage, -10% Speed, 200 XP on death.
  • Qualifier: Equal stats as Gladiator Ladder counterpart, and 500 XP on death.
  • Assailant: +10% Health, +10% Damage, +5% Speed, 1250 XP on death.
  • Gladiator: +30% Health, +30% Damage, +10% Speed, 2500 XP on death.
  • Crusader: +75% Health, +75% Damage, +15% Speed, 5000 XP on death.
  • Exterminator: +120% Health, +120% Damage, +15% Speed, 10000 XP on death.
  • Champion: +200% Health, +200% Damage, +15% Speed, 20000 XP on death.

Arena Gamemodes are well-known for their PvP aspect, something most story-related game modes do not have, as they are meant to have players come together to smite down the Cult of Panzer and their leader, the Archprophet. Here, the goal is to kill your fellow players in an attempt to rise through the ladder for the favor of everyone.
