Tale of Diep (ToD) is no longer under active development as a derivative of Diep.io and remains here as an archive, though spin-offs such as The Extended Tale of Diep remain active. For info on the successor to Tale of Diep, now an independent work called "A Tale Where Nothing Matters", visit its Discord server here.

NOTE: This page is no longer part of the Tale of Diep concept. It has been removed.

Overview

The Juggernaut is one of the many Sons of Panzer that can spawn in Fortresses. It is the Boss Tank version of the Destroyer. Spawns in Club Panzer as the last boss as well. Created by Zathsu.

Design

The Juggernaut looks like a LEVEL THIRTY tank, with an ANNIHILATOR barrel. However; that Annihilator barrel is set atop an inverted Ranger-barrel trapezoid. The back half of the tank has a Smasher hexagon around it that doesn't rotate. Gray barrel like armor covers the front, at the sides of the barrel. A stereo sits on the back of the tank, and the speakers bounces to the boss music.

Music

Club Panzer Battle Track: Yet to be created.

Death Animation Track:

Note that all Sons of Panzer share these two tracks among all of them.

Fortress Spawn

Attacks

  • Deadzone: The barrel flashes red, before releasing three Destroyer shots in quick succession.
  • Soundwave: The sound of a heavy metal chord plays as a spreading wave of regular bullets is fired from his speaker.
  • Whack: Will rotate slowly... once it turns around, it will quickly approach a player and swing its giant barrel back to the front. Players hit will be Stunned and pushed backward.
  • Eradicate: Will pump out a GIANT bullet. Bigger than an Annihilator's. This takes three seconds to charge. His barrel pulsates red and he slowly vibrates and moves backward as it's charging.
  • Treble Trouble: Will turn around and face his speaker at a player. It will begin firing tiny music note shaped bullets to the boss music like a Machine Gun.
  • Crescendo!: Will start slowly firing at one player, but over the course of twelve seconds his fire rate will slowly increase, so... it gets harder to dodge as time goes on.
  • In Tempo: Will fire a bullet based on the volume of the section of boss music playing.

Club Panzer

The Juggernaut is the owner of Club Panzer, a location and story gamemode in The Tale of Diep. He runs the hypnotic charade that converts unwilling tanks into cultists. The Juggernaut is the end boss of the gamemode, and it is a lot more intense, unlike the battle encountered with The Juggernaut in Fortresses. Since Club Panzer is a solo mission, The Juggernaut has a lot less health to balance the one player fighting him, at 3000 health.

The Arena

The Juggernaut is fought on top of the stage at the back of the gamemode after the third part of the mission is complete. The stage is rectangular and spans a fourth of the total width of the room, but is centered in the back of the club. It is made of a 'wooden board' texture, and has two walls of speakers placed diagonally on each side to make it more shaped like a trapezoid and cutting off the edges of the stage from being accessed. The back is blocked by a red curtain, and Fanboys of Panzer cluster and jump up and down to the music of the battle in front of the stage. The stage itself is about 30 tiles thick when it comes to front and back, making it not that deep for dodging and such.

The Battle

The Juggernaut will begin the battle when the player hops on stage, claiming that you won't stop Club Panzer and all that. Following this, he will jump up onto a speaker on the left side (things have depth in ToD, remember), as five hostile Fanboys of Panzer jump up on stage and fight you. Following this, The Juggernaut will hop back down and battle you himself, selecting from the attacks below:

Note that throughout the battle, Fanboys of Panzer will constantly be jumping up on stage from below, but no more than two at a time

  • Stereo Slam: Will jump up onto a stereo like he did at the start of the battle, and then leap down with a target showing where he will land. A ring of sixteen bullets that inflict Paralyzed for 2 seconds will be fired outward from the impact zone, and the player will suffer massive damage if direct contact is made.
  • For The Fans: Will jump up onto a stereo and slowly recover health as anywhere from six to ten Dungeon Crawlers will jump up onto the stage and battle the player. Once they all die, The Juggernaut will return. He will recover 5 HP a second while the player battles the minions, and this ability will be used no more than 3 times over the course of the battle.
  • Electrical Boom: Will crackle with electricity, and swing his barrel around like during his Whack attack, however, if the player is struck they will be knocked back, Stunned, and Paralyzed for 1 second.
  • Sound Burst: Will fire three large bullets simultaneously like a Tri Shot, and then they will be connected by chain lightning and fired outward. The bullets themselves do massive damage, but the chain lightning does none. It paralyzes for 1.3 seconds though.
  • Light Rays: Multi-colored spotlights will pour in from the sides, creating colored circles on the floor that rapidly spin around and move for a few seconds. While the player is in them, they will have a debuff. Green inflicts Poisoned, Blue inflicts Slowed, White inflicts Stunned, Purple inflicts Blinded, and Yellow inflicts Broken.

Death Animation

The camera will pan towards him slowly, as the speaker begins bouncing its beats so fast that they break off, and steam begins rising. A few seconds later, in slow motion, it will explode, sending pieces of The Juggernaut flying forward as they fade into dust with a white flash that consumes the screen.

Trivia

  • Has a strange fascination with music. So much so that he implemented it into his fighting style.
  • It says the page is created by Necro because he originally created this page without my consent.
  • Like The Supplement and The Kingpin, this boss was created before the Destroyer had upgrades, similar to how the other mentioned bosses were made before their regular versions (Tri Angle and Assassin) had upgrades.
  • Was made the boss and leader of Club Panzer due to his music-based fight and concept. It works rather well.
