Welcome to Diep.io Comparisons Part 1!
About the Series
Diep.io Comparisons Series Info[]
This series is about comparing two or more things found in canon Diep.io (a fanon edition might appear, who knows?). They are often having similarities that would leave a debate on which is better between/among.
How This Started[]
Originally, a thread which covers the topic of this series' part was posted on the Franken Forums. However, it didn't get much attention, plus Franken Forums are now removed from this wiki, as per a petition. Shown to be a good thread, its content was transferred into this blog, keeping it without having problems. The Part's Topic
Auto Trapper vs. Gunner Trapper[]
Auto Trapper and Gunner Trapper, two tanks coming from the Trapper branch, are able to fire both traps and bullets, which are unique within them among other Trapper branch tanks, making them versatile on both ranged AND support combats. However, which is better?
Auto Trapper[]
"Multi-tasking isn't a problem, it got traps and a turret." ~ GellyPop
The Auto Trapper is composed of a simple trap launcher and an auto turret. The trap launcher fires as fast as a regular one, while the auto turret is as powerful yet uncontrollable, like the one from the Auto Gunner.
Gunner Trapper[]
"Bullets on front and traps on back. Enemies got no choice." ~ GellyPop
The Gunner Trapper, on the other hand, has two Gunner cannons that fires small yet high penetrating bullets on its front, and a medium sized trap launcher on its back, firing medium-sized traps with the same stats as regular traps, but with slightly lower rate.
Criteria for Comparing[]
Now, to compare the two tanks, use the following criteria:
- Range Combat (versatility on fighting tanks at far distances)
- Support Combat (compatibility as support tanks on team game modes)
- Close Combat (when fighting tanks in close distances, including against melee tanks)
- Ease of Controlling (on how easy the tank to control)
- Survivability (how the tank can survive in different situations)
- Boss Countering (effectiveness when fighting Bosses)
- Overall (combining all above criteria and getting the average)
